Club Policy – Picklers Pickleball Club

Club Rules & Policies

Picklers Pickleball Club is a membership club open to the general public offering different levels of membership. The following are rules and policies of the club.

Club Rules

  • When entering the Club players must change footwear from street shoes to non-marking court shoes.
  • Only court shoes are allowed on courts. No other shoes allowed.
  • Only signed-in players are allowed on courts.
  • No member will engage in unsportsmanlike behavior.
  • Fencing is to help keep BALLS in the court, NOT you – please do not use fencing to stop your momentum.
  • Do not attach anything to the fences/nets.
  • No sitting, bouncing or climbing on court fences, poles or nets.
  • Please do not bring chairs or any objects onto the courts.
  • Courts may be entered/exited only via the fence gate/openings
    • any person climbing or vaulting over fencing will be asked to leave.
  • No paid instruction by anyone other than Club approved instructors.
  • Other than personal water bottles, no outside beverages or food allowed.
  • No food or beverages allowed on courts.
  • All play is at your own risk and no one may play without first having read and signed the Player’s Waiver.
  • If you break or damage Club property, you will be required to pay the cost of repairs.
  • Eye protection while not mandatory is strongly recommended.
  • Picklers Management reserves the right require anyone to leave the Club at any time and/or to make final decisions regarding Club rules.

Youth Policy

  • Age Restrictions:
    • Participants must be over 18 years or older to play in Adult Events.
    • All Events are Adult Events unless otherwise designated by Management
    • Individuals aged 16 and older may enter and play in the Club in non-adult events without an accompanying adult.
  • Parental Responsibility:
    • Parents or guardians wishing to have their children (ages 6 to 15) play pickleball must ensure their child/children remain under their supervision and control at all times.
    • Children must be mature enough to avoid damaging courts, nets, walls
      and court barriers.
    • Parents are financially responsible for any damage their child causes to the facilities and/or equipment of the Club
    • For Non-Children designated events, families with children wishing to play be required to rent a private court
  • Safety and Etiquette:
    • All youth players must adhere to all facility rules, including proper
      sportsmanship, shoes, equipment and respectful behavior toward both
      other members and the Club’s facilities and equipment.
    • Parents are encouraged to educate their children about safety precautions
      and good sports etiquette.
  • Liability Waiver:
    • Parents or guardians must sign a liability waiver for their children to participate in any event or Club activity or to utilize any of the Club’s
      facilities and/or equipment.

Refund Policy

  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Events, Open Play, Lessons and Court Reservations – We are happy to offer you a full credit for cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time. No credit will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours before an event.
    • Leagues, Tournaments & Special Events – Cancellations made at least two weeks before the scheduled start time will be eligible for a full credit. No credit will be issued for cancellations after this time.
  • Refund Method:
    • All refunds will be provided in the form of a credit to the member’s Pickler’s account.
    • No cash refunds will be issued.
    • Non-member’s are not eligible for refunds for cancellations unless the event is cancelled by management.
  • Only Management may cancel events.  If there is lack of sufficient players to hold an event 30 minutes prior to the event’s start time, Management will issue credits to the registrant’s Picklers account.
  • There is no charge for being on a Wait List, but if you change your mind and do not wish to be registered for the respective event in the event an opening does occur, you must remove your name from the waiting list prior to being moved into the event.  Otherwise, once you are registered into an event, normal cancellation rules will apply.
  • Timing: Credits will normally be processed within 5 to 7 business days.

Court Shoes Required

  • No Black Sole or Marking Shoes Permitted*
    • Shoes Permitted: Pickleball, Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball or Basketball
    • Shoes NOT PERMITTED: Running, Cross-Training and Similar Shoes
    • No black soles* unless marked by the manufacturer as pickleball shoes
    • Approval to wear any black sole shoes must be received prior to entering court
    • Street Worn Shoes Prohibited on Courts
